The best weapon to fight religious fanatics is by religion itself.For those who do not know this yet, Islam allows Muslim men to marry Christian and Jewish women. Quoting from The Qur'an,
This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you, when you have give"n them their due compensation, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And whoever denies the faith - his work has become worthless, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers." - Al Ma'idah Verse 5
In the end it all comes down to? freedom.
Like Roseau said, Man is born free, and everywhere he is in chains..
Though we have advanced scientifically in a wondrous fashion the last five decades, the mindsets of many of us are still stuck in 19th century. Even today, only a few lucky ones among us are free to choose our paths and partners, free from all external pressure factors.

A world where each of us is free to love the person of our choice.
